Worldwide Shipping

We at UK Import Services have global connections which allow us to provide a International shipping service from around 200 Countries around the World, including collection from your supplier (if required), then ship them via your preferred mode of shipping, to the UK Port of your choosing, right the way through to delivery to your door. The methods of shipping available are:

  • Air Freight / Air Cargo - Click here for more information

  • If you are unsure as to most cost-effective and best mode of shipping, based on your particular goods and circumstance, then our Imports Team will be more than happy to advise you accordingly.

    UK Customs Clearance

We at UK Import Services can clear your goods through Customs. There are many circumstances which means that your goods arriving into the UK will require clearance through UK Customs. The following pages should cover some of the processing costs.

  • New to Imports
  • C88 Form
  • EORI Registration
  • Airports and Ports that we clear at
  • Goods by Road
  • If you'd rather speak to a member of the Imports Team, please contact us on 0345 309 6360 or email us on the address at the top of the page.

    Marine Insurance

If you instruct us to ship your commercial goods, then we can usually provide the necessary, and highly recommended insurance cover, whilst the goods are in transit.

Although it is called 'Marine' insurance, it is not just for goods travelling by sea. We can usually arrange insurance for your goods when travelling by air and also road.

Of course exceptions apply, but to find out if we can insure your goods and for a no-obligation quote, please contact our Imports Team.

    Courier/ Parcels

Firstly, if your goods are currently on a Courier service, with Companies such as: DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT etc., then we cannot assist you. These Companies provide a full pre-paid service which includes the Customs clearance and transport to your door.

If, however, you have received your goods and the Courier Company hasn't declared your goods correctly to UK Customs, resulting in an amendment and/or reclaim to be submitted, then this is where we can help.

If your goods have arrived by Royal Mail and are at the Heathrow World Distribution Centre (HWDC), and you have received a Notice of Arrival, giving you an 'SPP' reference number, then we offer you a fast and efficient Customs clearance service, at a very competitive price. We will use all of our experience to clear and delivery your goods, without incurring any unnecessary costs and delays, which could result in your goods being returned. This service includes:

  • Completion of a Customs Form C21 or C88 (whichever is applicable)
  • Completion of worksheets (when importing multiple items)
  • Payment of any Import Duty and VAT to Customs
  • ...and more. Why not discuss your specific circumstances with a member of our Imports Team.

  • Payment of Duty and VAT

UK Customs receive thousands of payments everyday, in an attempt to clear thousands of individual shipments. If you find yourself in the situation where you have to pay any import Duty and/or VAT to Customs, then we can take away the hassle of making sure that Customs not only receive your payment, but to ensure that they match the money with your shipment.

Any delays in paying duty and/or VAT could result in additional costs being accrued through rent/storage where your goods are located.

  • Post Clearance Entry Amendments / Reclaims

There are occassions when there is a need to advise UK Customs that the circumstances surrounding the importation of goods, has changed. • Post-Clearance submission of Customs Forms to relevant department (e.g. to issue a C386 for motor vehicle registration with the DVLA)
